Made a burgess of Dunfermline Sept. 2, 1620, for his public service. “His connection with the Burgh arose through his relationship, on his mother’s side, with the Fotheringhames of Powrie.”
1789Sold (by subscription) the fish tithes of Leith and Newhaven, which was confirmed by royal charter June 11, 1631 to North Leith.
