Information from Kate Seeley, widow of Charles Seeley, grandson of second marriage of Horace Seeley, September 12, 1981 in Anamosa, IA:
Horace was a leader of wagon trains - friendly with the Indians - they called him "White Indian" because Horace never shaved.
Horace was a big strong man. Over 6 feet - could put a telephone pole on his shoulders. Good health until he broke his hip - died shortly after.
