Peacefully at John Joseph Place in Owen Sound on Friday October 8, 2004, in her 94th year, Jessie Clare Ellis (nee McKerroll) the beloved wife of the late Kenneth Jay Ellis. Loving mother of Jay and her husband Neil Schlotzhauer, of Woodstock. Proud grandmother of Ellisa and Jaymie. Dear sister of Lenore (Mrs. Vern Emke). Fondly remembered by her nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her sisters Islay Baldwin, Alma MacLennan and Doreen Tomlinson. Clare was a former employee at the Owen Sound Sun Times. Longtime member of the Baker Street Bridge Club. Devoted member of the St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church in Owen Sound.

Friends called at the Breckenridge-Ashcroft Funeral Home on Monday from 2-4pm and 7-9 pm. A funeral service will be held at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Owen Sound on Tuesday at 1:00 pm. Interment in Greenwood Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church or to the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
