Per estate, wife named Isabella, three minor children.Resolutions. —At a meeting of the San Jose Fire Department held on Wednesday eveniug, December 25th, 1872, the following resolutions were unanimously adopted: Whereas, it has deen the pleasure of Divine Providence to remove from our midst our late associate, T. B. Bothwell, be it Resolved, That we tender to the members of his bereaved family the assurance of our heartfelt sympathy with them in their great loss. Resolved, That iu his death, the Fire Department of San Joso has lost one of its most honored aud useful members—one who endeared himself to all who knew him by his uniform kindness of heart and gentleness of manner. Resolved, That the Fire Department attend his funeral in a body. Resolved, That a copy of these resolutions be transmitted to his family.
At a meeting of the Ganlen City Lodge, No. 142, I. O. O. on Friday evening, December 27th, 1872, the following resolutions were adopted: Whereas, the great and all-wisa Maker and Master of the universe, has called Brother T. B. Bothwell, while yet in the noonday of his life, to the seat of the Great Judge above, thus leaving those so near and dear to hitn to mourn the loss of a kind and loving husband and father, and depriving this lodge and community of a worthy and honored member, therefore be it Resolved, That the members of Garden City Lodge, No. 142, I. O. O. F., join in bearing witness to the high character and standing our late Brother T. B. Bothwell has ever maintained as a citizen and an Odd Fellow, fltad that his untimely death is deeply mourned by his brethren of the Mystic Tie. Resolved, That we hereby tender to his bereaved family all of the sympathy and consolation in our power to bestow, and assure them that not only by the vows we have all taken, but also by every generous prompting of the heart do we hold as an ever sacrea trust the care and protection of the widow and the fatherless. Resolved, That the foregoing preamble and resolutions be spread upon the minutes of this Lodge and duly certified copies thereof be transmitted to the family and father of the deceased, and also published in the city papers.
