The Northern Standard ofMonaghan, Co. Monaghan, in its issue of 28 march 1840 mentions three Bodells (and three gillanders: James, Robert, and George) convicted of assault and sentenced to 3 months imprisonment. A fourth Gillander sentenced to 4 months, same offense.
